Direct Sunlight in a Hazy Sky

This picture came out very close to what I had calculated. I wanted to take a picture of the south-east side of the Georgia State Capitol in which the crispness of architectural details would be as close as possible to the fine lines of a drawing. I felt that what allowed me to accomplish this was the subject’s exposure to direct sunlight penetrating a thin layer of clouds. We see the blue sky behind and the reflection of the clouds in the windows.
