Entrance of the Candler Building
The focus of this picture could have been on the stonework carved from Georgia marble but I felt that the lamp had a more triumphing presence in the entrance of the Candler Building, built in 1906.

Absolutely beautiful!
Both the stonework and the lamp is stunning beautiful!
The building was meant to be a celebration of the arts and science at the turn of the century. It was a very beautiful turn of century.
I love seeing buildings like these. Effort and thought went into it, not just slap some boards and plaster up and call it good.
Indeed. I have a strong preference for the older architectural styles.
