Gone With the Wind is a book that pulled me in despite my knowing that everything was headed for a train wreck, and I still relished the ride to that disaster
Thank you. I have seen great pictures lately taken in cities of the north, showing empty streets partially covered with a layer of snow reflecting various light sources late in the day. Sometime there would just be one man with his back turned.
This is going to age me, I learned to type on one of these. Did you know if you got too fast you would end up with the keys stuck up like a huge mess? I was amazing at that LOL. Great job and thanks for the memories.

Lol! Very good description of the experience I would expect many to have.
Great picture and interesting site, I love making something old, new again. I hope to achieve the same message, but in Calgary, Alberta.

What a gem! I think I would be inspired just by looking at it and feel the history, even though it has no delete button…..
No delete or backspace button? Unthinkable now.

Well, these machines were used for a long time after they were built. I remember experiencing the problem you described a long time ago.
I would love to find one of these typewriters. My daughter would love this. Very hard to find good old finds in Australia though.
They are also very hard to find here too, but if I see one in a store, I’ll make sure to tell you how much it was selling for.
How cool! Only one novel and yet most fiction lovers know her name. Not bad.
