In Memoriam
While the monument in the picture above is what we want to be remembered with, the simple crucifix and inscription in the picture below are what inspires a moment of reverence. The first picture was taken in the prestigious Oakland cemetery while the second one was taken under a highway where homeless people seek refuge.

Beautiful photos. The underpass memorial has a very haunting (right word?) quality to it. One has a better chance of being long remembered there than in the nice cemetery.
